In the dense alleys of urban villages, fleeting glances reveal ambiguous moments of daily life. This uncertainty shapes the city’s texture and memory. Doors and windows symbolize the duality of seeing and being seen. Residents modify these boundaries to protect privacy while expressing identity, creating a "semi-private" state. As an outsider, how should one respond—to accept or cross these boundaries?
1. The Second Skin of the City – What’s Behind the Moon
The hanging moon is a silent dialogue. Is it drying clothes, concealing something, or just decoration? It doesn't provide answers but invites every gaze into ambiguity.
2. The Second Skin of the City – Watching the Sea
A cut-out ad fabric becomes a barrier at the edge of sight, resisting overexposure and challenging the viewer’s imagination.
Does the model’s gaze lead to the sea, or something else?
3. The Second Skin of the City – Small Courtyard
A virtual courtyard for a small tree turns a fantasy of private space into reality. The symbolic window grilles blend individual desires with the endless flow of space.
